Our Journey to Michigan-Made Candles

Wildewood Botanicals started as a hobby in 2022 after accumulating an overabundance of honey jars and as we struggled to  find allergy-friendly home fragrances that wouldn't cause headaches or sneezing, inspired by the land and lakeside wonders of the Mitten state.

Made without harmful, headache-causing ingredients like parabens, phthalates, and other common irritants found in paraffin-based candles, Wildewood Botanicals soy candles are made with fragrance oils that have undergone rigorous to ensure that the scents you bring into your home are free from carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and other potentially hazardous chemicals.

The product line has since expanded to include other gently scented home products without compromising on scent, health, or sustainability including carpet deodorizer, laundry scent booster, and more.

Our commitment to safety extends beyond our making process, as we strive to be eco-conscious in all our practices. This includes practices such as locally-sourced ingredients, reusing packaging, and offering a jar recycling program.

Currently only offered to local customers and retailers, shoppers can enjoy $1 off the purchase of their next candle (limit 1 per transaction) by returning their jar, washed, to Wildewood Botanicals.
